Abergavenny Food Festival Focuses on Organics

Organic Food FestivalThe 10th annual Abergavenny Food Festival will focus on organics:

A range of activities organised by Organic Centre Wales on Saturday and Sunday will include cookery in the castle grounds, organic stands, a masterclass, a live food debate and an Organic Festival Guide.

“Gerard Baker, the chef from the Radio 4 Food Programme, will be in the Organic Food for All area throughout the weekend, producing delicious meals from organic, local ingredients,” said Carolyn Wacher of Organic Centre Wales.

Abergavenny is to food what Cannes is to film, an annual festival for spotting rising stars in Britain’s artisan-food firmament”. So said Joanna Blythman in the March edition of Observer Food Monthly.

The tenth Abergavenny Food Festival
, which takes place over the weekend 20 and 21 September, will continue the trend by celebrating a decade of gastronomic delights and culinary innovation, informing, educating and entertaining thousands in its unique market town setting.
